1. Motor nuclei

(branchiomotor)

Branchial efferent for facial expression and elevation of hyoid bone

2. Superior salivatory nuclei

General visceral efferent (parasympathetic) secretomotor to the submandibular and sublingual salivary glands, the lacrimal gland, glands of nose, palate and pharynx.

3. Nucleus of tractus

Special visceral efferent (gustatory) taste sensation solitarius from 2/3rd anterior of tongue and palate

4. Lacrimatory nucleus

Parasympathetic to lacrimal gland.
